80mm (3") - 127mm (5") Telescope Heating Band

80mm (3") - 127mm (5") Telescope Heating Band Reviews

Other Picture

80mm (3") - 127mm (5") Telescope Heating Band Feature

  • Heating band for Orion Dew Zapper Pro 4-Channel Dew Prevention System
  • Sized to fit 80mm (3") to 127mm (5") telescopes to prevent dew accumulation from disrupting view quality
  • Features 6' cable with right-angle connection for snug fit
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Requires Orion Dew Zapper Pro Control Module for operation - sold separately
This Dew Zapper Heating Band for 80mm (3") to 127mm (5") telescopes is part of the larger Dew Zapper Pro 4-Channel Dew Prevention System. The required control module is sold separately. With Dew Zapper Pro you'll never again have to quit an observing or imaging session because dew clouded up your optics. Our advanced dew prevention system powers up to four individual heating bands independently. So you can keep all of your optics -- main telescope, finder scope, guide scope, eyepieces, or other optical accessories -- bone dry in high humidity or dew-prone weather. Five different heating band sizes are available. The heating bands (sold separately) are highly power efficient, drawing only 0.25 amps (for #3518) to 2.5 amps (for #3522) at maximum output. A 10-amp fuse in the control module prevents any mishaps from electrical surges or reversed polarity. And unlike competing dew-prevention systems, the Dew Zapper Pro's heating bands have right-angle cable connections to reduce cable strain and provide a tighter fit. Hook-and-loop fasteners hold the bands snugly around your instrument and accessories. Each heating band comes with a 6'-long cable that plugs into the control module via an RCA-type connector. Removable caps are included to protect any unused ports from exposure to the elements. The control module also has an auxiliary 12-volt port, which allows you to power any 12-volt accessory directly from the module.

  • Max. 30 fps
The astro CCD cameras DMK 31AF03 unifies three important characteristics for astrophotography: high resolution, fast refresh rate and a low price. Using the shipped software - IC Capture - you can save the captured images to lossless and uncompressed AVI files. The astro CCD camera DMK 31AF03.AS outputs a fast stream of uncompressed monochrome images. In order to transfer these to the host PC, a very fast bus is required. Hence, the camera is fitted with a FireWire connector. The astro CCD cameras DMK 31AF03.AS is based on the CCD chip ICX204AL, manufactured by Sony. This monochrome CCD has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels at 1/3" format. Even at long exposure times, its noise is minimal. Due to the high quality of the ICX204AL, the CCD chip is often used in industrial image processing applications. The image data produced by the CCD camera DMK 31AF03.AS is not compressed. Furthermore, the camera does not have any optical, nor electronic filters. Thus, the camera produces very true-to-life captures of the night sky.

TeleVue Nagler Telescope Eyepieces - TVU034-5

TeleVue Nagler Telescope Eyepieces - TVU034-5 Reviews

Other Picture

Take a "spacewalk" across the widest sharpest apparent field...Concept: You may know there's a long history of naming eyepieces after their designers: Kellner Erfle and Plossl to name a few. In the late 70's I designed an eyepiece sufficiently radical that I dared attach my name to it. Even today I must admit a little discomfort when talking about "Nagler" eyepieces. With "Naglers" my aim is to approach the wide angle perspective of naked eye vision while maintaining the highest degree of sharpness contrast and viewing comfort. The goal is to allow the telescope to virtually "disappear " leaving the impact of "spacewalk" viewing. -Al NaglerFollowing are excerpts from the book The Backyard Astronomer by Dickenson & Dyer: "Al Nagler of Tele Vue caused a sensation when he introduced the Nagler in 1982. The Nagler's success can be attributed to two important innovations: an extremely wide apparent field of 82 degrees with outstanding sharpness and exceptionally comfortable eye relief for eyepieces of very short focal length...He designed his melding of eyepiece and Barlow to operate as a single unit; that is the aberrations of one cancel out the aberrations of the other producing exquisitely sharp images edge to edge over an unprecedentedly wide field of view. Nagler's background of optical-systems design for visual flight simulators and his interest in amateur astronomy created the perfect match for this breakthrough."Compare a penny to a half dollar to see the relative size between a 50 degree and 82 degree apparent field - almost 3 times the area difference! And while others boast of impressive apparent field sizes Tele Vue's philosophy of "showing no field unless it's fine" stresses full field image quality as the ingredient for impressive views. Blackened lens edges anti-reflection threads and rubber eyeguards deliver maximum contrast. Adapter skirts for 2" focusers on larger 1.25" models (12mm Nagler Type 4 and 22mm Panoptic) and rubber grip rings are additional

Telescope Camera Adapter - 2" UltraWide for Canon EOS & Rebel DSLR

Telescope Camera Adapter - 2" UltraWide for Canon EOS & Rebel DSLR Reviews

Other Picture

Telescope Camera Adapter - 2" UltraWide for Canon EOS & Rebel DSLR Feature

  • Direct from Camera body to 2" Eyepiece Port.
  • Bypasses T-Rings for 10mm Larger Clear Aperture!
  • Reduced Vignetting, Lower Profile & Weight.
  • Threaded for Standard 2" Eyepiece Filters (48mm).
  • Fully Baffled to reduce internal reflections.
Just say NO to T-Rings! As the CCD chips in our DSLR cameras get larger it is ever more important to have an unobstructed light path to prevent vignetting. The manufacturers of high end scopes wisely put 2" eyepiece ports on them. Why then do we insist on putting a 1.5" bottleneck between your camera and telescope? Answer: T-Rings have been around for decades, a legacy standard as outdated as 300 baud modems. They exist not because they are the best solution for imaging, but because they are the best solution for manufacturing. After all it's much easier to spin a standard thread on all adapters, regardless of telescope port size or camera brand. The T-Ring may be convenient but it is simply out of its league on a scope with a 2" eyepiece port. True-2TM is a true 2" prime focus adapter that takes you directly from the cameras bayonet mount to a 2" Barrel with as few wasted photons as is possible, adding as much as 10mm more clear aperture over legacy adapters! The largest clear aperture of any adapter on the market. And it costs little more than you would spend on a quality T-Ring and 2" T-adapter. Baffled to reduce reflections and threaded for 2" eyepiece filters. Now also available with or without an undercut on the barrel. Don't choke the photons out of your camera with an inferior adapter! This listing fits all Canon EOS cameras, both SLR & DSLR including the following: (digital models) 1D, 5D, 10D, 20D, 20Da, 30D, 40D, 50D, 300D, 350D, 400D, 450D, 500D, 1000D, D30, D50, D60, Rebel, Rebel XT, Rebel XTi, Rebel XS, Rebel XSi, Rebel T1, Rebel T1i. We also carry TRUE-2 Adapters for most other SLR/DSLR cameras on our website. Inquire for more info.

TeleVue ETHOS Telescope Eyepieces - TVU098-1

TeleVue ETHOS Telescope Eyepieces - TVU098-1 Reviews

Other Picture

Tele Vue is known for its in-house eyepiece and telescope designs by Al Nagler; our latest eyepiece brings new meaning to the term in-house. The concept for this eyepiece was first proposed by Tele Vue President David Nagler with performance parameters giving it the fundamental characteristics (the ethos) of a Tele Vue eyepiece: high contrast comfortable eye relief and full field sharpness. Control of astigmatism field curvature lateral color angular magnification distortion correction and low pupil sensitivity for daytime use were specified criteria.Following Tele Vue s philosophy of pushing the state of the art long-time Tele Vue employee and optical design prot g Paul Dellechiaie took up the challenge and designed the basic eyepiece form. Under Al s guidance Paul tweaked his design to fulfill the original goals. While sharpness is inherent to the optical design contrast is maximized through the intelligent use of flat finished baffles and ultra low reflectance high efficiency coatings tuned to the composition of each element. At the 2007 Northeast Astronomy Forum Tele Vue once again broadened the amateur astronomer's perspective on the universe and introduced a new observing experience; 100 of pure Tele Vue quality. With a 13mm focal length evoking the original Nagler revolution the field area of this new eyepiece is more than 50% larger than an 82 field. The Tele Vue Ethos is essentially multiple eyepieces delivering the true field size of a longer focal length narrower apparent field eyepiece with the benefits of higher power and darker sky background.
