Televue NPR-1073 0.8x Reducer For NP and NPI Series Telescopes

Televue NPR-1073 0.8x Reducer For NP and NPI Series Telescopes Reviews

Other Picture

TeleVue Reducer for NP Telescopes NPR-1073 has the optical property of decreasing the effective focal length of the telescope. Reduced focal length results in wider-field and faster imaging time on nebulae and galaxies. Tele Vue 0.8x Reducer can be used for all Tele Vue Petzval telescopes such as TeleVue-NP101 Telescope (NPC-4054), Tele Vue Imaging System Scope NP127is (NPI-5053), and Tele Vue NP-101is Imaging System Scope (NPI-4055). The 0.8X Reducer from Televue is optimized for 55mm back focal length typical of SLR camera body that accepts T Rings. To use Tele Vue Reducer 0.8x for scopes with 2" focusers (such as the Televue NP-101) you will need to attach optional adapter Tele Vue Imaging System Noisepiece for 2" Focuser (RAD-1074) to the front of the Reducer to connect to your scope’s 2" focuser drawtube. For Tele Vue NP101is or NP 127is scopes that to achieve maximum field illumination and focus you'll need to use Televue Extension Tubes (TLA-0250, TLB-0375, TLC-0500, TLD-1000) in conjunction with Tele Vue 0.8 Reducer.Optimum performance is obtained with the NP scope models and cameras having APS size format (approximately 30mm diagonal). In all cases, the field and speed increases by 25%.Features of Tele Vue Reducer 0.8X:Can be used for all Tele Vue Petzval scopes such as TeleVue-NP101 Telescope and Tele Vue Imaging Systems NP127is, NP-101isFits Televue NP-101 with the addition of the optional adapter Tele Vue Noisepiece for 2" Focuser RAD-1074Optimized for 55mm back focal lengthPackage Contents:Televue Reducer 0.8X for NP Telescopes

Orion Focal Reducer Corrector for ED100 Telescope

Orion Focal Reducer Corrector for ED100 Telescope Reviews

Orion Focal Reducer Corrector for ED100 Telescope Feature

Focal Reducer designed specifically for use with Orion's ED100 apochromatic refractor (ED100 sold separately)
Reduces the effective focal length of the ED100 refractor telescope from 900mm to 765mm - changes focal ratio from f/9.0 to f/7.65
Excellent for astrophotography use with DSLR cameras housing imaging chips as large as 36mm x 24mm
Two-element lens assembly, with one element made from ED glass
Fully multi-coated optics (all air-to-glass surfaces are multi-layer coated)

If you're an astrophotographer seeking even better performance from your Orion 100mm ED Refractor Telescope, our 0.85x Reducer-Corrector is for you. Designed specifically for use with this telescope and a DSLR camera, it reduces the scope's effective focal length to produce a faster system, which allows shorter exposure times. It also provides excellent field correction (flattening), yielding sharp stars out to the edge of a camera chip as large as 36mm x 24mm. That's even larger than the APS-C size chip found in DSLRs used most often by astrophotographers. The Focal Reducer-Corrector achieves the nominal 55mm distance required from the optics to the DSLR's sensor for critical focus. It features a two-element lens assembly, with one lens made from high-quality extra-low dispersion (ED) glass. The optics are fully multi-coated to minimize light reflection off the lens surfaces. It reduces the focal length from 900mm to 765mm (f/9.0 to f/7.65), producing a faster system for improved astrophotograpy. The Reducer-Corrector threads onto the focuser drawtube's male threads for a secure fit that will not introduce flexure. T-threads on the camera side accept your camera's T-ring. You will need a "wide" T-ring for your brand of camera, sold separately. For owners of Orion's ED100 refractor who want to take astrophotos, this is a must-have accessory. It works well for daytime terrestrial photography too! Includes two thread-on lens caps. One-year limited warranty.
